Admission

Schedule a Tour

The admissions process at Knoxville Montessori School is designed to help your family learn about our program and see if Montessori is the best fit for your child.

We invite you to join one of our small group tours of the school where you will see our building and grounds and meet our Director. You will have an opportunity to discuss whether a Montessori Environment would be a good fit for your child before your family makes a decision regarding enrollment.

General Guidelines

KMS offers admission on a rolling basis (contingent on availability), so children can enroll when they become developmentally ready.

Admission preference will be given to children in the following order:

  • Children presently enrolled
  • Siblings of enrolled children
  • Children with previous Montessori experience
  • New applicants

When an opening occurs, children accepted will be admitted according the chronological order of application.

“My sons . . .attended this marvelous school where they received the best foundation for their lives that we could have possibly provided! I remember when they were just wild little boys, being asked to send cloth napkins and silverware to school! Most EXCELLENT.”
