I have no hesitation in recommending KMS. The school is well run; the teachers are very nurturing and knowledgeable. [My son] has adapted with ease to his new environment. KMS Parent, 2010

Our Staff

The KMS teaching staff includes some of the best and most experienced Montessori educators in East Tennessee.

All of our teachers have a minimum of a B.A. and a Montessori certification from training centers accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education.

Our three Senior Teachers – Elizabeth Coburn, Valérie Kuentz, and Paige Fowler – have over 60 years of combined Montessori teaching experience.

All of our teachers and staff care deeply about our students, and they have the training and experience to help children reach their full potential.

What I noticed when my daughter started middle school was how much more organized she was than most of her friends. She didn’t seem to have any trouble getting her homework and other assignments done on time. The KMS Elementary teachers did a great job preparing her! KMS Alumni Parent, 2015
